Poetry

What is poetry? What kinds of poetry are there? Do you have a favourite poem/poet?

What have been your experiences with poetry in other classes? What sucked about it? What was enjoyable and made for positive learning experience for you?

Poetry is a paragraph of rhyming words. There are a lot of types of poetry but i can only remember haiku. My experience with it was that other kids fooled around and the teacher was okay with it. It sucked because it was about anything and everything not about something that actually made sense.

Poetry is the rhyming of words and stanzas. Some poetry doesn't even rhyme. There are diamontes, Haiku's, free walling. In other classes, I made really good haiku's once. Nut what sucked is that it had to be about a certain subject, like haiku's are normally about nature. The only good thing about some types of them is that you could pick what you wanted about it and decorate it^^

Poetry is sort of like a song in a way. It explains how thing and people and animals are feeling. There are many many types of potery. Haiku, and Limerick are the only two i can remember.
In poetry my expirences were writing many forms of poems and the thing tht sucks about it is when the teacher was teaching kids would fool around and not take it seriously . it was enjoyable because its something i like.

Poetry is a composition that has rhyming words in it. I remember doing haiku poems. Also we did little "diamond" poems in grade four. I didn't like doing poetry last year because we had to figure out the deeper meaning within the poem without much help and that was really hard because I had never done that before. I liked reading the funny poems and doing group work to figure out stuff.

poetry is a type of expression i guess. there are many types of poetry but to be honest i can't remember like any of them. my experiences with poetry was last year. What sucked about it was that we had to write a poem about trees. thats it. and all we did was read robert frost and he is hard to understand sometimes. what was enjoyable was that my poem wasn't even half bad and it made you think about things.

poetry to me is expressing something in a catchy rhyme. i don't have a favorite poem or poet because i'm no a big fan. i have had experience with this topic in previous years. the only thing that sucked about it is that we had to write our poems on topics that they gave us not what we wanted to do it on.

poetry is a clash of words put together to express ones feelings.
there is several different types of poetry the most common is when they rhyme but there is also several different ways

lots of times we were asked to write poetry i believe im pretty good at it(most of the time) What sucked about it is the teachers gave us the topic instead of us making it up
What was fun was one time we made one about the eating process for science. it was enjoyable and grose

Poetry can be any verse of words rhyming or not. There is concrete poems, chinquain., cuplet and haiku. (these are the only ones i can remember). My favourites poems are Mother Goose Poems. I liked doing concrete poems because you could be really creative in doing them. NOTHING SUCKED ABOUT IT, exept for the fact that it was school work. LOL. I think it was ejoyful because Mrs. Kapoor was very helpful in every poetry project.

poetry can rhyme, or it can be a story, or it could just be describing something. Some poems are 5 line stanza, and haiku's. My experience with poems were when i was younger and we played around and made some words rhyme and most of the time it didn't even make any sense.

poetry can be the rhyming of words and stanza. people think that it always has to rhythm but it does not. poetry is a way to express your feelings. it can be to someone of just to yourself. it can be used as a way to vent or a way to brighten up your day. poetry is a time when nothing else matters around you and your true feeling can come out and its in your hands to say whatever you want just like normal writing. with poetry and pomes there is a structure to follow. with other experiences with poetry it was very boring it made no sense, and was all muffled. so therefore i never really learned from it.

Its a way of expressing true feelings and emotion though words. there all all kinds of poetry. the traditional rhyming theme quiet common but there are others. different patterns, lengths, and shapes. I personally have herd little poetry but my favorite would have to be "the raven" by edger allen poe. i hate personal poetry. when you write something and other people read it. people think your like messed in the head or like wicked depressed or something. i guess what i like is the pomes them selves. i think the like pretty cool.
