chris could have eaten the moose so he wouldn't starve as fast, plus he could have went hunting more often like twice a day shoot some birds, small game animals, anything, for food,
Chris could have eaten the moose faster so he wouldn't have starved and he could have collected berries as well, so he wouldn't attract wild animals with the meat he caught.
Chris could have eaten the moose that he killed so that he had more energy, and strength, and also Chris should have tried to cross the river in the following August when the water levels went down, instead he just sat and waited at the bus.
The two insignificant blunders that Chris had made was not eating the moose. I think that it would've helped him survive and keep his sanity longer. Although I don't think you should hunt I know he only did it to survive and that was very important. The second 'blunder' that I think Chris made was giving up. When he went out walking to look for a way out he went a ways up the river then stopped, if only he had walked ten more minutes he might have ben alive today. Tragically he didn't and he just gave up.
I strongly disagree with this statement. It wasn't as much as avoiding these blunders, as much as stopping the whole scenario in the first place. Chris had the choice to go into the wild or not, and stupidly enough he did; with nothing. I believe these blunders don't exist. All i believe is that it is Chris own falt that he died.
in my opinion the two big blunders were going to alaska in the first place cuz' he obviously he wasnt certified and didnt understand the wild like he thought he did
I think if Chris would have eaten the moose he would have gotten sick any way because the salt didn't work and it would probably have been the same if he didn't eat it. I think he could have avoided this problem if he went hunting more often for game and small mammals and maybe even fish, even if he didn't like shooting animals, it would have helped him survive.
I think that Chris' blunders were going to Alaska in the first place because he wasn't even prepared and he didn't have very much knowledge on what Alaska was really like. His second blunder was not eating the moose when he killed it because he wasted his energy killing it and then he never ate it.
i think that his blunders that costed him dearly were not eating as much and that action of trying to preserve his food was very costly,he should have just ate it all becuz u think he would have lasted for a long period of time.
According to John Krakauer, he had eaten wild poatoes that were supposedly poisonous. I did some more research and people have found that the potatoes were not poisonous at all.
I believe he died because of the slow onset of starvation, and he was possibly mentally ill.
He obviously did not have a good enough knowledge of the wilderness in order to survive that long, he lived on berries and small animals, and the one time he got a moose. he attempted to smoke it, causing him to lose a year's worth of meat.

I'm not totally sure.
Krakauer is moved by everything by the effect that Chris is dead, and how he touched everyone he new in a certain way.
This was just a little info bit about the chapter.
chris could have eaten the moose so he wouldn't starve as fast, plus he could have went hunting more often like twice a day shoot some birds, small game animals, anything, for food,
Chris could have worked faster to preserved the moose and left some out to eat.

He could have eaten the moose and killed more game to eat and he could have crossed the river instead of juts sitting there wasting his time.

The most bad thing that cost Chris was that he had no map, and this made him not find a way across the river so he died.
chris first of all did not look up and down the Teklanika river and he also did not ask alaskans how to preserve meat.

What did Chris in was when he threw away his map which made him unknown how close he was to surviving.

Chris should have eaten the moose that he killed so he would have the power to cross the river and not wait and starved
chris needed to eat the moose faster because it would of saved him. there was tons of meat but he just tried to preserve when he should of ate some.
