katherine isn't afraid to be herself by smacking him around, petruchio is trying to hard to get katherine to marry him, but i think katherine should give up and mary him because the way i see it is, at least someone wants to marry her...lol
i dont want to pick sides here, but i would probably just say tht petruchio should not give up, he has been "wooing" kate for a while, and if he gives up now he just wasted his time, trust me on this, if he gives up then he would have been an idiot to even start
Petruchio is really sexual to Kate when he says the things about the stinger i think that kate should give in so Biancas can get married to one of the other men.
I think that Kate should give in because she should know that Petruchio is not going to give up. Although Petruchio shouldn't marry such a shrew, I think that he should keep on trying. He says, " Come my little wasp- your too angry." She says, " If I'm a wasp then look out for my stinger."
even though kate has a reputation, petruchio is seeing past that, not much men could do that. XD lol
This scene reveals that Petruchio is really trying to be nice to Katherine but she is just rejecting him over and over. She does not seem to want to have a husband, maybe it is to make her younger sister miserable. I think that Petruchio should not give up on Katherine, or else Bianca will never find a husband and Tranio and Gremio will never get a chance with Bianca.
i think petruchio sould keep trying becuase with out this the book is not as funny
I think that Kate should give in to Petruchio. Because Kate has a reputation, it will be hard for her to find someone to be with her. Since Petruchio is able to withstand her "attacks" he is one of the people that is willing to be with her. Even if this is little or no love.
i think that petruchio is really rude and cocky. he doesnt even care about how arrigant he is sounding. Kate is a shrew however i dont blame her for acting the way that she does when having to put up with P. I think that kate should stand her ground but a begger cant be a chooser at the same time
I think that this passage reveals a bit more about their true personalities. Katherine is uber stubborn and has amazing comebacks! Though Pertruchio is a great guy and is amazingly smooth with words he isn't truly in it (marriage) for the right reasons. There are sexual comments made in the conversation; the whole wasp to butt to tongue thing is basically questioning Pertruchio's manhood and telling him to find it! Also, when Pertruchio tells Kate to come sit on him as a piece of furniture she immediately deviates an insult along the lines of calling him an a**. I think that the romance is, very, very, very subtly there and that Kate should just give in already. I know that Pertruchio may not actually love her but love the idea of what she brings and yet I think that Kate should just marry the guy!
This scene reveals that Kate and Petruchio are much the same. Petruchio is also very quick-witted and clever.

“Moved,” in good time. Let him that moved you hither Remove you hence. I knew you at the first You were a moveable.
PETRUCHIO:
Why, what's a moveable?
KATHERINE
A joint stool.
PETRUCHIO
Thou hast hit it. Come, sit on me.
KATHERINE
Asses are made to bear, and so are you.
PETRUCHIO
Women are made to bear, and so are you.
I think Petruchio should give up
I think Kate should stop trying to push Petruchio away from her. Petruchio should keep trying and eventually the time he put into it will pay off and Kate will probably give up.
This scene reveals they are both very competitive and think they are both the better one. They both have very big egos. Petruchio lays in on very thick because he says, "fact, you're called Kate, plain Kate—and pretty Kate, and sometimes Kate the shrew. But it's definitely Kate—the prettiest Kate in the world, Katie, Kitty, Kat-woman, the Kate-ster." I don't think he should give up on trying to get her.
i am on kates side because i think it is quite funny how mean and crude she is. i am interested to see if she actually calms down and who causes her to calm her anger.
Yes, he should give up. Petruchio is a slime ball and is trying everything he can to get married. Katherine is a shrew who screws with Petruchio who tries to make him not want to marry her.
This how the two bond together. Example: Petruchio say's he want her for his wife and she replies,
“Driven?” Really? Well, let whoever drove you here drive you back again. I had you figured for a piece of furniture."

Katherine is a person who can keep an argument in her court and win, unlike most of the men Katherin has encountered Petruchio is no noble, and no man who will sit back and let a woman win over an argument. Petruchio said he would marry her and he has what it takes to do that.
I believe what is revealed by the two characters is very important in this whole play. It shows that Petruchio is very determined and the money has given him such sustenance as to be trying to win her love and take her as a rich wife.
Katherine calls out: A nice stool.
Petruchio explains: Yes, come sit on me.
The comments made between the to are hot and steamy. This is a very in depth conversation. It reveals how stubborn the two are.
I think Katherine should give up because Petruchio loves his money and has made it apparent he will do much for it. Katherine should give up and marry him!
This scene reveals that Petruchio is actually bonding with Katherine because they both are going on and on with insulting each other, if they really despised each other they would have stopped their conversation and left, or Kate would have hit him like she's done before.
Petruchio say: "But now I see that people have been lying about you, for you are funny, playful, and beautifully behaved, not sharp-tongued, but as sweet as flowers in springtime." Petruchio is becoming so intrigued with Kate and her becoming his wife, that he is making Katherine's faults sound superior to what other women do/have.
Surprisingly, this scene reveals that Katherine doesn't hate Petruchio, and that he does have a chase with her because he doesn't use violence towards him like she did with Lutencio.
I think that Kattherine should give up and agree to marry Petruchio since they obviously get along.
This scene reveals that Petruchio is honestly and truly in love with Katherine. "...But now I see that people have been lying about you, for you are funny, playful, and beautifully behaved, not sharp-tongued, but as sweet as flowers in springtime."
This quote is how Petruchio also compliments Kate in some of his many different ways. Petruchio will never give up on Kate because he ends up turning her insults into compliments.
This scene, reveals that Kate is not really on love with Petruchio, but she doesn't despise him either. If she despised him she would have left a long time time of instead of continuing on and arguing on with him. Their insults going back and forth is somewhat like flirting. "... Yours, if we're talking about tales. I'm leaving."
Here, if Kate really despised him, she would have left, but instead she stays.
I think that Kate should give in because she might not think she is in love with Petruchio, but deep down she probably is. Petruchio won't ever give up on her because he is really in love with her so eventually one of them will have to give in and I think that it should be Kate.
I think Petruchio should leave her because hes not trying it the normal kinda way like everyone else would do hes just bugging her and trying to get her in the"im the boss kind way" and Katherine has a to big ego to fall for that.
there is not enough room on this blog post because of Kate's and Petruchio's ego's taking up space. Hahaha, well Kate is not careless, but a wild horse that has unlimited freedom, it's just the free horse is placed in the wrong environment. So People take her the wrong way. Petruchio is just a guy that really wants a girl but when he is trying to get the girl he tends to be a jerk.
IN the beginning of the meeting between kate and petruchio there is a kind of tense air between the two of them. Petruchio starts of strong by complimenting her then kate would sit there all puzzled. During the scene kate and petruchio revealed that kate is grumpy and wants to make peoples life miserable and Petruchio can be a very smooth talker. like KATHERINE
“Driven?” Really? Well, let whoever drove you here drive you back again. I had you figured for a piece of furniture.
PETRUCHIO

personally i think that Petruchio should quit since she is a big meany and wants nothing to do with him soshe should stop right know.
i think kate should just give up and let him marry her cause petruchio wont give up.
i think Kate is also testing Petruchio
