A "Holy" Response
I would like to thank Mrs. J. for her awesome work with VT!! Watch Mrs. J's Voicthread poetry reading. Comment on the imagery and use of pacing, tone and pitch to enhance her. What really stands out for you in this poem? Listen to the poem again. What is the poem about? What did Mrs. J do well to communicate the message of the poem? What have you learned that you can apply to your own podcast?

In this poem the thing that stands out the most for me would have to be the images it creates in you head, and taking in what it really means. I believe this poem is about getting over some sort of sickness and becoming a whole new person. Mrs.J did a really good job or expressing her voice and using the right tones when reciting the poem verses. And that is something i could do to enhance my podcast.
I think the thing that stands out most in this vioce thread is her very awesome voice and how she used her voice to make the poem sound more interesting and keep you listening. The poem is about someone trying to be thin enough to fly away.Mrs. J did a great job of enhancing the poem with her tone and voice. I have learn that if you use your voice well you can make your poem sound way more intriguing.
The use of imagery was very strong. giving sharp detailed examples through out the poem. Her voice was right in tone to the expression of the reading. When she was mad her voice become strong and fierce. When it was happy she sounded calm and passionate. I have learned what a difference your voice can make when rehearsing a poem or book.
The pictures really went with what you were saying and they were timed very well.You also did a good job of changing the way you talk depending on if it was happy or sad.The picture of the skelton and the words while it was up there stood out to me. The emotions of the poem are brought out and i learned that emotions would enhnce my podcast
The thing that stands out the mose for me you is her voice, its so deep and full of emotion and makes you want to keep listening. I think this poem is about her finally accepting herself because she is thin, but not everyone else notices and that was her main goal to begin with. She did a great job of expressing herself and the choice of pictures and thats something i could do to make my podcas better.
The picture that really stood out for me was the girl that was posing that looked anorexic. The poem was about someone who wants to just waste away, she said shes living on her soul. Her voice changing made the poem alot more intense and made you want to listen. I learned that the tone of your voice has a huge effect on the poem. The pictures were very powerful to
What stands out to me is the fact she sounds just like the person living, and all the people around her.
The poem is about a girl(or a guy) starving themselves to be an angel.
Mrs.J did a really good job at picking the pictures and communicating the feelings of the poem. Joy, happiness, pride.
I've learned that I have to have feeling in my voice to communicate the poem
the use of imagery is awesome the pacing is not to fast but not slow enough to be boring. the tone and pitch are great i love the emphases on some of the important words. i think the poem is about the suffering the poet goes through to try and become an angle. the thing that most stands out to me is the pictures of the anorexic girls i dont see how they r alive.
What really stands out in this poem is that this poet truly believes that starving herself is holy and good for her. Mrs. J did a really good job at changing the pace and her tone of her voice. I could do that on my poem. And she did a really good job a choosing her images.
The things that stand out the most in the poem in my perspective woulbe be the images and where they are placed. Each image tells a story and helps make sence of what the poem is about. Mrs. J did an outstanding job with her voice. I believe that the poem is about becoming a real person. I have learnt that if you use your voice well and express your self that it makes the poems seem and sound alot more interesting.
some things that stood out to me are when she said i eat me, and how she was saying that in the morning somtimes the floor moves from beneath her.
this poem is about people who have eating disorders and just keep wanting to be thinner and thinner untill they eventually starve themselves

i have learned that if you change your voice tones that people have a better understanding of your mood or oppion towards what you are talking about like for example if you were angry towards somthing then you would maybe raise your voice or make it deeper.
I think the way she changed her pitch and tone of voice was awesome. The choice of images really enhanced what you were hearing but also let you go on and image it yourself. The way she used her voice made the poem way more interesting. She expressed the feeling of the poem and let you feel that too. I think I could work more on that in future podcasts.
i like the way she puts enthusiasm in her voice and how she projects her voice when needed and keeps come when it needs to be as well. i like the pictures she used for this poem. every time i got an image in my head they weren't far off from the ones she used. what really stood out to me was how clear her voice was. i think the poem is about someone who is trying to thin up so she can fly away to a happy place.
What really stands out for me is her voice, she changes tone and pitch all the time continuously. I believe this poem is about trying to big thin enough to be a angle. What she did to communicate well with me through this poem is she changed her voice and said things clearly so I could have a good picture in my head. I learned to use different pitches and a variety of speeds in your voice.
I think the poem is about someone that failed what they wanted to become because they are overweight so they slowly starve themselves and they get closer to themselves and god and think about what their family will say after they are dead. The person throws away their belongings and they say that they will go to heaven and "pass silently through people like wind."
I believe the message is that people are discriminated by their weight, appearances, and sizes everyday and they get their revenge by starving their selves or worse, so the people that discriminate them will feel bad or recognize them for what they done.
I've learned that you can give a poem great emotion in podcasts. Also that you can show the meaning with pictures and emotion of what you have done.
the images are literal but with other meaning. the images are mostly of objects so its as if she feels like an object. the writer is like obsessed with how she thinks other people look at her and what she thinks they see. its about the unachievable image set by the media of a womanly figure. also people think that this is the only way how to look good but it is completely impractical and dangerous.
this poem to me seems mean someone getting over something and not like who they were before or their life and wanted to make a change and have a whole new start, a second chance for say.
Mrs. J was very expressive an showed the meaning for the poem threw her voice and the emotion, not only of the authors but how she viewed it and i think she takes this poem to heart.
i could make my podcast by really thinking about the meaning and trying to make my voice as emotional as the poem is brought to be.
The thing that stands out for me is that her pictures were very powerful, she did a good job with giving good examples for the poem. And your voice has a really good tone for the VT thing and you did it at the right time so it was pretty cool watching her video.
this poam really stands out to me because the way the words and the pictures colide to make such a poam that has both the darkness given off by the flow of the pictures and words but at the same time it is light with te message that is being told about going to heaven like a slow pain leading up to a painless finish going to heaven where you will not feel pain at all for ever that is what i think it is trying to say. I think that Mrs.J did a great job and i know that I can use the way she used her words to improve my poam
the pictures stand out to me because they are of starving women and that is what this poem is about. it is a good poem with some really good photos. she really goes in-depth with this poem. the poem is about a person that has done something bad and she wants to be an angle.
her voice is really good for this poem and she has good tone all the way through it.
